I'm Barb Gormley, and for over 15 years I've been helping people get fit, feel younger and look great.

How it works

I typically coach clients in their homes or condo exercise rooms once or twice a week. They then exercise independently one to two additional times per week. Some clients have loads of exercise equipment while while I supply equipment for others.

How we’ll get started

Session 1 : We'll start with a short assessment to benchmark your current fitness level. Together we'll set some realistic and tangible goals.

Session 2: I'll bring your custom fitness program (designed using the Session 1 information). We'll practise the exercises together. Your program will have lots of notes and images to help you recall the exercises when you're on your own.

Session 3 and 4: We'll work out issues, make any revisions and start polishing your technique.

Session 5 onward: Each month I'll revise your workout to keep it fresh and challenging. At about week five, we'll reassess your fitness level to check your progress. Expect to feel more energetic, more limber, stronger and healthier!

Over the years, I’ve discovered that few of us are standard—most people have a wonky knee or hipor an achy shoulder . I considerthis—as well as your strengths, goals and preferences—as I'm designing your program.

    When holidays, business travel or a house full of company threaten to kick you off track, we come up with a strategy to keep you focused on your new healthy lifestyle. To be sure that all is well, I'll quickly check in with you by text, email or phone. 
  3. I’m a chameleon
    It's important that our personalities and styles mesh, so I work hard to give you the version of me that's best for you. I can hoot, holler and high-five with the best of them. But I’m equally comfortable dialing down the pace and energy. I present myself in a manner that I think best suits your style, health status and personality.
