Before focusing on Nordic walking instruction in Toronto, I spent many years in the broader health and fitness industry, including:

  • managing Manulife Financial’s Toronto head office fitness centre, one of Canada’s leading corporate wellness facilities (4 years)

  • teaching in the Fitness and Health Promotion program at Seneca College (11 years)

  • serving on the Program Advisory Committee for Durham College’s Fitness and Health Promotion program (4 years)

  • teaching at George Brown College’s School of Health and Wellness (2 years)

  • travelling to clients’ homes to deliver personalized fitness training for clients of all ages, helping them achieve their health and fitness goals (20+ years)

I studied writing at Ryerson University and have worked extensively as a health and fitness writer and editor. My contributions include:
