Sea, Sand & Soul 2026: A Beautiful End to Summer

I’ve just returned from beautiful PEI after wrapping up another Sea, Sand & Soul Fitness Getaway. Once again, I have to say, there’s no better way to wrap up the summer.

Six days by the sea, the fresh Atlantic air, the sound of the ocean, and the wonderful sound of nothing at all.

Well, there was some sound, of course: plenty of chatting and laughing with our wonderful group of women, who made this year’s getaway so special. And because this was a car-free holiday, it was wonderfully quiet. The only exception was the occasional hum of a golf cart as the housekeeping ladies glided by and waved.

We Nordic walked along the beautiful oceanside trail and quiet roads, cycled or Nordic walked to Richard’s for their famous lobster rolls, practised yoga outdoors in the sunshine, and even squeezed in a little shopping at The Dunes. Some of us rode bikes to Robinson’s Island, while others took in the art show and weaving demonstration that happened in front of the hotel. And when we weren’t out exploring, many of us simply relaxed in our cottages, or sipped wine, read, and enjoyed the view from our decks.

Our evenings were just as much fun. We told spooky stories around a roaring fire and sang songs that brought some of us back to our younger days at summer camp.

The days flew by. Before we knew it, six days had passed, and it was time to pack up, say our goodbyes, and head home.

That’s always the bittersweet part of a trip like this for me. I’m ready for my own bed again, but I’m also wishing there were just a few more days together.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful participants, both returnees and those who joined us for the first time. Thank you for bringing your energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, and easygoing nature to everything we did. You made our time together so much fun.

On our last evening, it seemed we were all feeling the same way: grateful for the sea air, the sunshine, the exercise, the delicious food, the laughter, and the new friendships we’d made.

An excellent way to wrap up the summer!
